Avon Matte Lipsticks

Wednesday, January 27, 2016

Hello lovelies,
I have recently posted picture on my Instagram of new matte lipsticks from Avon, and I promised to make swatches and review about them, so here you go.

I have tried them on only while doing shoot and swatches, so I can not guarantee that they will last a long time on your lips. I will have to wear them outside for a couple of hours to tell about their lasting performance :)

First of all, full name of these brand new lipsticks by Avon is True Color Perfectly Matte Lipsticks. There are fifteen shades in total, so everyone can find the perfect shade.

Packaging is really nice, unlike any other lipstick that I own from Avon. The tube is similar in shape to any other Avon lipstick packaging, but the tube comes in black matte finish, which is really nice.

I really like the shades I got. I think if I were to choose the shades from the whole collection, that I would choose these 4 exactly.

My general opinion about these lipsticks is that they are really creamy for a matte lipstick. When you apply them, they do not have that strange matte feeling. I would say that these are semi mat rather that matte. Except one shade. So, I think that not every shade has the same texture. The dark ones I tried were so creamy, and really hydrating, whereas the nude one was almost patchy. As you could see from the picture, it made my lips look a little bit dry, although, my lips underneath were super hydrated. It is about the finish. This neutral shade has the patchy dry finish, and it is not the one I liked the most.

Unlike some of the matte lipsticks I own, these lipsticks are really easy to remove. They also smell really nice.

Smoothie lover

Monday, January 25, 2016

Hello lovelies,
here is just one random food post. I took a couple of shots of the smoothie I made this morning. I though it would be nice to put the recipe here on blog, as I post a lot of smoothie pictures on my Instagram. Some of you asked me which ingredients I use, so here it is.

Ingredients:

  • Banana
  • Forest fruit
  • Coconut milk
  • Ground flax seed
  • Chia seeds
  • Goji berries
  • Honey
You can use whatever you want in your smoothie. It's up to you. I make different one each time. I do not like sweet smoothies, so I sometimes even skip honey. If the fruit is a little bit bitter, I put only one tablespoon of honey. When it comes to flax seeds and chia seeds, I put around one tablespoon of it. You can also put your chia seeds in the water and leave them around 10 minutes or more, before you put them in the blender.
When it comes to milk, you can use diary milk if you want to, but I do not consume diary products, therefore I always use coconut milk, and sometimes almond milk.

Blend the ingredients together, and there you go.
Perfect healthy breakfast. Refreshing and amazing! I'm totally addicted :)

All that glitters

Thursday, January 14, 2016

Hello lovelies,
I wanted to show you this sequin dress in a blog post, as I didn't have enough pictures from New Year's party. I wore it that night, but, unfortunately, I didn't manage to take pictures during daytime. This time, I decided to do different make up look. Something glittery, and fierce. Cut crease which is quite wearable. Red lips would perfectly match this eye make up, but I decided to make a change this time.

Beauty Shoot

Saturday, January 9, 2016

Hello lovelies,
I forgot to upload the picture and the link of the teaser of the recent short video shoot I did for Avon.
The team actually planned to do the teaser long time ago, but none of us had enough time so it was delayed. The video we did is not make up tutorial, so I don't want you to be mistaken by the video. I didn't do a step by step tutorial, but just a quick intro in the festive make up look you can create using Avon products.
Edvin and I quickly decided to take a couple of shots as well, so here is the result of the test shot. I didn't even plan on posting it here on blog, but I decided to put it anyway.

You can watch the video here ;)

Have a lovely weekend!
Hugs and kisses

Healthy Chocolate Protein Balls

Monday, January 4, 2016

Hello lovelies,
it's time for the recipe for all the sweet tooth junkies out there. It is healthy as well. Not only junk food is delicious. Healthy food can be delicious too.

This recipe has some ingredients which are not 100% healthy, such as chocolate, but you can use 100% dark chocolate if that is the flavor you prefer and want to make the balls 100% healthy. My option is always dark chocolate, but this time, I was making the balls for the guests, so I didn't want to use 100% dark chocolate, as some of them do not like the bitter taste of it.

Ingredients I used:

  • 500gr milk chocolate (stevia version)
  • Almond milk
  • Coconut oil
  • Honey
  • Hazelnuts
  • Almonds
  • Walnuts
  • Plazma biscuits (and a couple of Elvita wholegrains biscuits)
  • Vanilla sugar
  • Dolcela decoratives for baking
  • Chia seeds
  • Pretzels
The mixture for protein balls is super easy. But, you will need around two hours to make 30 chocolate balls if you want to make them super polished and nice looking. As well as extra half an hour for reindeer balls. Decorating takes the most of the time. But if you like baking it will be fun and joyful.

Make the mixture out of coconut oil, honey and almond milk. Pour it into one big bowl. Hazelnuts, biscuits, walnuts, almonds, chia seeds, vanilla sugar are the ingredients that you should mix together with the liquid mixture. You will know when the mixture is perfect once you try to make the balls with your hands. You can put the mixture in the fridge for half an hour, and it will be easier to shape the balls.

For the chocolate dip, melt it over the hot boiling water. Put a little bit of almond milk and coconut oil. Once your balls are ready, dip them into the chocolate. You can decorate them with m&m's. It is up to you. I decorated mine with m&m's because there were some left, as I needed only red ones for the noses of reindeer balls.

I used little white balls for the eyes, and pretzels for the ears.
